Frequently Asked Questions
What is myRJ
myRJ is a case management system for restorative practice services. It supports people to securely store information and communicate about restorative practice interventions and/or cases. It can be used by single organizations or by partnerships.
How often will the system be updated?
A bi-annual review and update of the system will be undertaken. Suggestions for updates can be submitted at anytime. They will then be analysed for full impact and may be included in the next update. Any significant problems will be dealt with immediately.
Who is it for?
myRJ is for any size service from large organizations to multiple organizations working in partnership.
How long does a license last?
The license lasts for one year, however we highly recommend a commitment of 3 years.
Will myRJ have access to, or be able to see any of the data?
No. The system has various levels of encryption so the developers at myRJ are unable to view or access any of the data you input.
What happens if the server goes down?
The system is updated and integrity checked daily by our system administrators and backed up at midnight. Any data entered before the last back up will be saved. The back up server will kick in within 15 to 30 minutes of any outage of the primary database.
Can I request for changes to be made to the system?
We welcome feedback and comment about the system. All feedback will be collated and reviewed on an bi-annual basis. The system will be updated as per the need identified from the feedback and following impact assessment.
Why myRJ was developed?
Many restorative services work in partnership sharing resources, taking referrals from and referring on to other agencies or at the very least providing information to other services. Services encountered problems sharing data between partners and across sectors, securely and efficiently. myRJ was developed to address these problems and provide a way of making the restorative process easier, more secure and streamlined. There are currently a plethora of recording tools and databases, both paper and electronic that hold data with regard to restorative practice which pose the following risks:
- Data is at risk of not being held and/or transferred securely.
- There is no central location for reporting.
- There is no consistency in what is being recorded
- There is no way of centrally checking the quality or accuracy of what is being recorded and therefore returned.
- Current systems hinder access to data and can be a barrier to partnership working.
- Systems not designed to hold data with regard to RP cases.
- Problems with giving access to secure systems to partners agencies e.g. the voluntary sector.
- Problems of keeping all partners updated on case progression.
myRJ provides the solution to these problems.
